Hi Daniela. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this, and glad you're reaching out. I think the itching and pain you have are probably from the fight between your immune system and your hair. Your immune system has mistaken your hair for an outside threat and is trying to protect you from it (like it does when you get a cold). The idea of the cortisone cream, and the steroid shots, is to calm down your immune system right where the hair loss is. The cream used to make my hair greasy and dirty too. The shots hurt, and can be a bit more effective, but you have to keep using them (unless you're lucky and this just goes away). You and your family get to decide what treatment or no treatment makes sense for you now and in the future
thank you very much, i think the cream is the reason it is getting greasy, thanks a lot. :) i am seeing my dermatologist soon, so i will speak to him about what is the best option,
thanks for your help,
Dani
