Hello all. Just signed up yesterday. Did it via my mobile but it won't upload a photo as yet but i'll get that sorted soon. Had alopecia for about 3 months, started in May as about 12 really small patches and progressed to losing 90% of my hair in 6 weeks. It seems to have settled now but i'm dreading it attacking my eyebrows. It's hit me hard but as a 34 year old bloke it's not the end of the world. Still tho i'd like to get to know people in the same boat and everyone on here seems spot on. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome to the site. You are in good company here. The most disturbing part of this condition is the uncertainty and dread of how you will handle it. Your eyebrows may or may not stay. They may or may not return if they do fall out. Either way you can live a happy full life. My daughter blew me away when she lost all of her hair her senior year in highschool and said, "mom you have to figure out how to be happy no matter what happens to you." She is a happy camper and is in her second year of college. She wears a wig and has some eyebrows but we had them tatoo'd which helps fill in. Feel free to ask questions.
Thanks for the reply. Your daughter sounds like a proper star. The two words that seem to sum up alopecia are unpredictability and uncertainty. This site has helped me get my head round things. I'd love to get my hair back but i'd settle for no further loss. Will just have to see how it all pans out.
