Hey all,

Still trying to find wigs.....ugh....... As far as I know does anywhere in Canada actually sell ROP wigs in a Salon? I hate looking at wigs online and guessing what they will look like on me. They never look the way they look in those pictures......I have tried website after website with those "wigs for your face shape" and I get different results on each site.......Anyways I ordered the ROP color ring. The colors are gorgeous but they look soooooo "shiny" to me. To me it just screams "Doll hair"...Yuck..... Do any people out there buy ROP, Noriko and Amore wigs? Do the actual wigs look as "Matel Toyish" looking as the rings? Please say they look beautiful the wigs...... I am getting so desperate and depressed about all of this. I have even called and left a message with the company Rene of Paris asking where the closest salon in the states is compared to where I live in Ottawa....I seriously will get on a jet and fly down there to try them on.......

Hi I have a ROP wig it's Audrey I love it the only thing I'm not crazy about it that it doesn't have a mono top which is like a scalp.
also if you go on my page there are a few other gals that wear Rene of Paris so of them are but Noriko
Rachel , Mandy , Celeste, and many other and if you have more money to spend the vacuum wigs are sooo great I don't have one yet but as soon as I lose more I'm getting one.
There are a few other gals weareing a vaccum on my page too and they love them.

hope this helps
also youcan order ROP on wigs.com and from what I've been told you can return for another if it's not what you wanted.
Thanks Jessica for your reply. I was having a bird..... The colors are gorgeous on the color ring but they are soooo soooo shiny and to me that looks fake. You don't find the wigs look like some sprayed them with Shelak (spelling???)...? I still have about 70% of my hair so no where near a vacuum wig yet but you can bet I will be getting one when the time comes! LOL......This is all soooooooo stressful!
Where did you get your ROP wig from? Did you get it from Wigs.com too? Gee I really hope I can exchange the wig for another style if I don't like it. I really like the "Jamie" wig by ROP and the "Reese" by Noriko....."Audrey" looks beautiful that style!
Unfortunately I live in Canada and there are no shops that carry ROP wigs so I am up the creek as far as trying them on. I find this sooooooooooo frustrating.... I am forced to buy online....I have just been to a salon and we had ordered in a bunch of Alan Eaton Wigs and none of them looked anything like they did in the picture so you can imagine how super stressed I am about ordering a wig online knowing that there is a 10% chance that it will look anything like the picture. Nobody carries ROP or Raquel Welch wigs at all here where I live. They have Tressallure (which I found nothing), Revlon (again nothing) and Jon Renau which again nothing interests me.

I look so yucky in bobs so I need to stay away from them. I just want a long layered cut.....nothing that hangs in my face. Soooo stressed I could cry.....
What websites did you buy them from? Were you able to return the wigs since they weren't what you wanted?
Having such a hard time. Went to a salon on Saturday and she had ordered in 7 wigs. None of them looked like their picture. They looked massive. The one that I semi liked but still needed major work I didn't like the way the color came out. It was too mousy looking for me so we are ordering in another one. You know what will happen is I will buy this wig from her just so I can order ones online and be able to take them to her to style the things. There seriously is no one here to style wigs and this is the only thing I can do......Soooo very frustrated and tired of buying wigs that I hate.

I also am finding the colors that I really like the stupid wigs don't come in at all.....ugh
Hey! I am in Ottawa Canada..... I see you are from PEI! That is a beautiful part of the country. I was there once about 20 years ago...LOL I did however live in Saint John NB for about 9 months as my husband got a contract with Saint John Ship Building... Saint John itself was horrible but the countryside was really beautiful.......
I will have to look into the tri-colors.... I find whenever you look at those color rings and find a color that is a blend the wig does not come out in the color I expected. I had a wig ordered from Alan Eaton and the two colors were a warm light brown with warm blonde highlights. When the wig came in the colors were so blended together you wouldn't know there was more than one color and it was soooooo blah.....This is why I am so frustrated right now with everything because I know I have no way of knowing what the actual will turn out to look like in the end.....
Hey Lori, i am new to alopecia world. i suffer from traction alopecia and my solution is my full lace wigs. If you are interested, i wear them, sell them and attach them. Give me a contact, 412-450-1129 You can see pics on myspace.com/weavenomore.
I wear the "audrey" by ROP too -- at least, when I can stand to wear a wig! I've been getting my wigs from Dean's Wig Villa in Nashville, TN since I was 6 years old, and I even wore ROP wigs when I was a child because they were the only ones who made wigs at the time small enough to fit my head! You can look them up online on wigs.com and you can call my wig shop that I go to and ask for Faye -- she's the shop owner and will definitely help!

Good luck in your search!!
Would she be able to tell me what a certain wig ACTUALLY looks like? I can't find anyone who sells ROP wigs here in Canada.....
Yes, she would -- she actually gets the catalogs themselves and from what I've seen over the years the pictures in the catalogs are pretty true to what they look like coming out of the box -- and of course, as long as you have a phenomenal stylist, you can make any ROP wig look sensational!!!
