Hello I finally bought a Prosthesis quality human hair wig...it cost me $2100 after taxes + a head. Prior to that I had a synthetic (Norico) that stopped looking good after a month. When I first got it (my human hair), it fit good, maybe a little snug, but now I notice the rim around my forehead is a little loose,it doesn't lay completely flat is that normal?
Also, sometimes it is really itchy and uncomfortable...sometimes not. From what the store told me, plus everything I researched lace front, monofilment and silicone (which I have) is supposed to be the best, not itchy and natural feeling, so why am I having these issues. Is it common?
I was talking to someone and she told me she purchased a wig from someone who made a mold of her head and that helped with itchiness since it fit perfectly? Is this accurate...can anyone share their wig experiences with me. I'm a bit desparate if the best wigs out there are causing me problems I dont know what to do.

I think I looked into it, but it was not long enough...isnt the longest length 18 inches?
Hi
I think the length of the hair is often a little misunderstood, as is the hair used in a Freedom Wig.
Unprocessed virgin human hair is a very very rare commodity and I often feel because companies and vendors have difficulty explaining the hair they use (processed hair)often calling it European hair or Remy hair etc. there is some major confusion around hair and what is available.
I think what may help is for me to give you an overview of what is available and why and how it is available.
Freedom only uses 100% unprocessed virgin human hair... this means it is received from the world's population, it also means that it has as many variations and limitations as the people's of the world. Keep in mind there are no people farms. So, when you buy a Freedom Wig, that hair has been sold/donated to help those within this community receive beautiful hair. There is a connection here that I often feel people miss or just don't want to know about. If you pop into the Freedom facebook page you will see a lot of information about Rapunzel ponytails....an absolutely wonderful organisation that does great work for the alopecia community.
Freedom Wigs in long lengths are difficult to supply if the person wants blonde dyed looking hair....Freedom just don't make wigs like that. Not to say you can't turn your Freedom Wig into that look as many wearers do. But there are limitations as to what can be achieved with 100% unprocessed virgin human hair.
You are obviously after very long hair. I'll put a photo up of my daughter wearing a 16 inch Freedom hairpiece...so you can understand the length and look of this hair.
This is the very longest Freedom can supply and there are some limitations around colours with this length.
Many Freedom girls get our beautiful unprocessed hair and turn it in to them....like the following lady.
As you can see her hair looks naturally streaked. Her Freedom Wig arrived like a blank palette on which she could get her colour, style etc.
Because Freedom Wigs use such beautiful hair ladies are able to style and colour their hair, in a similar way as you would with your own growing hair. It gives autonomy and empowerment.
Just a note 24 inches of processed hair is a very different product than a Freedom Wig. In my experience a Freedom 16 inch wig often looks a lot longer and is a lot longer than other wigs...other companies measurements seem to be very different. Processed hair may work incredibly well for you, but from your comments possibly not. I understand that many people who have lost their hair would love extremely long hair...but I also know where this hair comes from and all human hair even processed hair has it's limitations... very long human hair may have taken years to grow, then if it is processed hair it will be even more weakened...there are limitations and expectations that don't often meld together well.
Hope this helps.
