How long did take for you to grow back

Hi, I just wonder how long (if you have just one or a few patches) did or does take for you for your hair to start growing back since the time you discover the patch? I was told by the doctor that it takes long and also the hair follicles are sleeping for 3 months average.

Unfortunately, there is no way to know. I had alopecia as a child, and the hair grew back rather rapidly, but now that I have it as an adult, I have seen little to no regrowth, and I found my first spot 7 months ago. This disease is so unpredictable you can't possibly know when, or if, it will come back.
