I had no idea that I could get a partial hairpiece until yesteday. I orded a partial with European human hair, matching mine and lace front. This seems like a great option for the summer, as I still have more than 50 or 60% of my hair. I am bald mostly on the back of my head and on one side. This will cover up both those areas nicely. From what I understand, we will keep in on with clips at first, and If I lose more hair, then we can use tape. The stylist said she will cut it with my existing hair to serve as a top layer.

Have any of you ever tried this? Any advice or feedback you can offer?

Thanks,
Danette

I wear a partial piece. Although I am male, my hairloss isn't due to male pattern baldness. Also, I am growing my hair long. I use tape to attach, I was thinking of trying some clips. But with the tape, I was thinking it is easier to take the piece off and clean, which I do once a week. Also there is no tension being applied to my existing hair.
Thanks for your reply. I was told in order to use tape, the hairdresser would have to shave a little of my head to attach it. I will try the clips as long as I can. I will keep you posted.

Thanks!
I found a beauty shop in Ellicott City, MD. She has been helping both cancer and alopecia patients for 15 years. She found the shade that matched mine the best and is ordering it. It will be made of all human hair. I can find out from her how you might look for someone in your area who can order it. I will say that it is good to have a hairdresser to work with you on it - because she is going to cut this to blend with my hair as another layer. She will also work with me if I reach the point where I need tape or glue to attach it.

I chose lace front, as I am rapidly approaching losing my hairline in front. She said the lacefront is more delicate but more realistic. I will give you more details when I get it.
Hi

Yes, I have heard of partial pieces sometimes called toppers. I've heard some good reports from ladies who have partial hairloss and am sure this will work a treat for you. Good luck with it all.
