Hi, I am new to Alopecia World. I live in Texas and was wanting to know how your consult went with Joseph Paris. Did you purchase one of the hair systems? I am wanting to get as much info as I can, as it will be very pricey to make a trip to NY for that.

Thanks and any info you can provide will be appreciated.

Hi DeeDee...So sorry for not replying. I haven't been on in soo long. I really liked Joseph Paris. He was so kind and gave me a great lesson on how to take care of all types of wigs. I didn't buy one of his systems because Alopecia was pretty new to me and I wasn't sure how my hair would respond to the treatments. His wigs are the type that you attach to your natural hairline around your face. The hair was beautiful and the price varied from $1,000 and up. I think if you check out his website you'll see exactly what the wigs look like on. I have to admit that if I were to buy pricey wig, I would check out the vacuum wigs. No need to travel to NYC for a wig either. I settled for a synthetic that is adorable and was hundreds of dollars less. But my hair has been making good progress with treatments so far. Shaving for glue or tape is out of the question for me. Joseph Paris did tell me to buy synthetic because a good synthetic wig looks natural, feels natural, and is much easier to take care of than a human hair wig. And they are so much less expensive. But I did check out many human hair wigs that I fell in love with! So to-each-his-own. Hope you are finding success in your wig hunt!
