Immune suppressant drugs

I used immune suppressants for two years. Took one and half years for hair to start to grow again and it grew really nicely for six months to a really good short cut. Then started to fall out no now back to nothing! Anyone else used immune suppressants? Now stopped taking them - immunologist thinks the balance may have tipped the wrong way. Might take them again but having a rest for now. Would be interested to hear of similar experiences.

My daughter took steroid shots with the first episode and her hair grew back. It fell out again 3 years later and the steroids did not work. We then put her on sulfasalazine and she had hair growth but developed side effects. We had to stop and her hair fell out. After bein AU over a year she has some hair growth. Not sure if it will continue but it is spontaneous this time.

I have been on Methotrexate now for about 6 months along with scalp injections and my hair has started to fill in. I have diffuse AA and although I did not lose all my hair, it was very thin and crappy looking. My derm said we will continue for several more months but I am worried about what will happen when the drug eventually stops. What immune suppressants were you on?
