What's up, playaaaaaaaas!?
Alright, here comes a couple rambling thoughts. I'm bored and I haven't posted anything in a while, and that can be a deadly combination. Also, my 'A' key on my keyboard is almost broken because I have to push it down with all my force for it to finally show up on the screen #collegeprobs #notreally #maybe .. So that just goes to show how much I really want to post something right now! Yayyy, be excited.
For those of you who didn't know this about me, I have full eyelashes on my left eye, and absolutely zero eyelashes on my right eye. I use false eyelashes for the top of my eyelid, and fools people about 95% of the time. However, I have no protection for my bottom eyelid, which can be distracting. So I'm sitting there in my theatre class, in our groups, talking about God knows what. (I'm taking the class as an easy elective. I suck at acting.) One girl in my group is my really good friend, whom I met when I was a Freshmen. I am currently a Junior, so I've known her for two years now, and felt comfortable enough last year to tell her about my condition. (I never tell ANYBODY about my AA. My 3 roommates still don't even know).
Anyways, we're sitting there with two other people in our group. We don't know these kids, they were assigned to us. One of the boys, a Freshmen, was about 2 inches away from my face and noticed something different between the way my two eyes looked. He said, "Dude, what the hell is the matter with your eyes?" In my mind, I was like, "Whoa, chill, bro. I'm still better looking than you, especially after I fuck up YOUR eyes." But I have been through this before, and I always know what excuse to say. My heart still pounds when somebody calls me out on something, even though I know it can happen any time, any day. I was just about to deliver this tool my speech of how I wore my contacts for way too long and got a major eye infection when my good friend interrupted and said, "Why the hell do you care so much? He's sexier than you!" I couldn't help but laugh (and discretely nod my head in agreement). That is why she is my friend.
I kind of felt bad for the hardass about 2 minutes after the conversation ended. I think of what I would do, though, in a situation like that. What if I were in his shoes and stared at somebody close enough to see their eyes don't really look the same? It could be how I was raised, it could be because I think I am very nice, but I wouldn't say anything, simply because it's not my problem. You know that the other person is most likely self-conscious about it, so why bring up something they don't want to be brought up?? It's as if I saw some kid with major acne - would I say, "What is the matter with your face?" Fuck no. Only a tool would. So after thinking that through, I didn't feel bad for the hardass Freshman anymore. Honestly, what a tool.
ANYWAYS, I will now get to the topic of my discussion. I've got to admit, I was so excited to tell you guys about that story above. Like, more than my regrowth. And even though the title is true, I must say I put those words down to reel in some viewers. I don't think "Hardass toolbag Freshmen #collegeprobs" would have done much in terms of viewers.
Again, as I mentioned in a discussion before, I am taking medicine from the Cleveland clinic that is not even FDA approved (proof this shit is legit). It's a liquid I put on my eyebrows twice a week. (I also have false eyebrows made from real human hair. These eyebrows, surprisingly, look real. Never get called out on them). However, I would love actual, real eyebrows. And there is major regrowth on my right eyebrow. It needs to thicken more, but it has almost all grown in. My left eyebrow is struggling a bit, but tonight I saw new, short hair. It's working!!!!! I feel really good about this news. I continue to pray for the rest of you to see similar results in your near future. And if you've lost all hope, then I pray you accept who you are and embrace it!
On a random side note, I am in an a capella group at my college and finished up the Christmas show a little over a week ago! I love to sing and might post videos of me doing covers. I don't think I'm amazing or anything like that, I just love to sing and express myself. I am a big fan of the show 'X-Factor', and that's really gotten me in the mood to sing.
I want to post more and be friends and get to know a lot of you. Feel free to add me, or comment on anything. Facebook notifications are so overrated. AlopeciaWorld notifications are what's in nowadays, let me tell you.
If you haven't noticed, there was a huge fuckfest of the letter, 'a' in this post. My left index finger is now killing me, but it was worth it. Thanks for reading. I hope to post more stories of me owning on haters. #EmbraceTheHate #Dominate #hashtag
(Hopefully, it works, but attached to the post if a pic of me and my friend who owned the poor little Freshman).

Aimee - that's amazing! Every new hair you see, even if it is very tiny, is a step up from how it was! Congrats!
And yes, Mr. Hardass won't dare cross me again! Thank you so much for reading my material! Hopefully you got a few laughs out of it!
I definitely got a chuckle out of it--thanks for posting.
(I'm also curious about the cloth hanging behind the two of you in the pic--nice pic, by the way! It's got a distinct middle eastern design and similar to ones we have in my family, and I was just curious if this was in your room or somewhere else!)
Thank you for the comment! I am glad you got a laugh!
As for the cloth, I am sorry! I have no idea. This was at a party off-campus at my college. One of my good friends lives there, and I will totally ash her about it!
Hi Kevin, what is the name of this product? My eyebrows and eyelashes are falling out severely now and I am very distraught. I have been using
Rogaine for about 3 wks on my eyebrows and will probably start using Latisse on my eyelashes soon.
Aimee: have you done anything specific that you can say possibly helped your regrowth?
I feel your pain. The "n" on my laptop nearly causes me to dislocate a finger everytime I want to use it. :D
And I'm intrigued about these fake eyebrows you mentioned, are they good? I considered somne but thought they'd look mental, do they just stay on or do you have to put them on every day?

RESPONSE TO USER 'DM'
Hey, the product is called 30 CPD DPCP. Here's how this shit works. The first dosage I received was .0001% because it's very strong. You apply to to your desired affected area twice a week. The first time you use it, you probably won't get a reaction. A reaction is what you want. You want to see redness and feel itchiness. Means it's working. You use your first dosage for a month, and if nothing happens, you upgrade the dosage, which gets more expensive. Every dosage can be different for another person. To put it simply, you don't just guess your right dosage, your body will tell you when you are there. So it takes a bit of patience. I have been on dosage .01% for three/four months now. My eyebrows get itchy and red. My right eyebrow is growing in. I also apply it to my one tiny bald spot on my scalp, and it feels like there's regrowth. This shit is legit. Doesn't work for everybody, though. Look it up on Google, though. Gets great results.
RESPONSE TO KATE88
Hell, mate. Or should I say keep calm and carry on? If nobody got the joke, she's British but is studying in Australia. Now you can all laugh.
I found my fake eyebrows on this site: http://www.headcovers.com/cosmetics/eyebrows/
I think they're made from real hair too.
You simply apply some type of adhesive glue to them (that they provide for you). You don't want to swim or shower in these, however. That will probably ruin them. I take them off before every shower, and put them back on afterwards. It takes about 6 months for them to not look so great any more. So I only buy two sets a year. I like them a lot. I never get questioned on them either. But, I do have bangs, and may cover them up for the most part. But even when I lift up my bangs, they look real if applied to the right spot(s).
Hope this was good information for you guys!
Thank you, Kevin for responding. I am using rogaine right now on my eyebrows, but I have seborrehic dermatitis there now so it gets so flaky and dry! I might try latisse but hearing mixed results from it. This product might be too harsh for me right now but I hope you continue to have good results from it.
My dermatologist wanted me to take Latisse for my right eyelashes. There are none on my right eye, though. So I wondered how it would work. I looked it up, and everything said Latisse takes existing hair and makes it longer and thicker. But I don't have any existing hair there! So, I didn't use my Latisse thinking it would be a waste of time. If Latisse worls for you in any way, eyebrows or lashes, let me know! Thanks,
Kevin
