Is relapse from squaric acid or DCPC common?

I was wondering how many have had relapses while treating with squaric acid or DCPC.  I was into my 5th month of treatment when for no reason all of the new regrowth slowly began to fall out.  Now I am back to almost bald.  Is it worth continuing at this point?

Hi Gail. My story is very much like yours. I also had AA when I began DCPC. After the first month, it all fell out, even the hair I had before treatment. I tried again and was getting a lot of white regrowth when again it all fell out. I still have some strands that are holding on so I am going to continue since I really do not have anything to lose at this point. I wish I knew why it keeps falling out once it reaches a certain point. Thanks for replying.

My daughter was on DCPC and relapsed after she grew a full head of hair.
