I have had alopecia universalis for 3 years and at first I was sad to see my hair go. But now I don't really care that I don't have any hair. Some times I even forget I'm bald. But recently, two pretty large patches of hair began growing on my head. They look like bruises and I shave my head now every day. It is really annoying and I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of these patches for good without shaving every day. Does anyone else have this problem?

sounds gud they growin!! but in the mean time how about sensitive hair remover cream that wud last at least a few days n regrowth softer .......u know i think i will try this myself swn as i am goin 2 have 2 shave my few hairs myself 4 the first time lol :)
This happened to me too. I just kept shaving once-twice a day until enough hair was growing to stop this cycle. I think it's pretty common among us.
Did enough hair start growing that you could let it grow out?
Yep. I'm about 70-80% regrowth. Now instead of shaving I apply a product called Dermatch and top it with Xfusion and hairspray. I can do it all in about 5 minutes now that I've been doing it daily the past 4 months.
My hair actually starts to grow back within days of losing it but it grows back white and very fine. As time goes by it becomes thicker but stays white. I haven't had any dark hair come back to me though. Does anyone else have the almost instant white regrowth?
I had the white regrowth for almost 2 years. The pigment finally came back for the most part.
Talk about going white overnight...

Hi Scott K, yes I have the white hairs too and i tried to grow them out to see if they will go dark again, but not much luck there, and my white hairs didn't become thicker either. The funny side is I only have the white hairs on my head (I have patches on my arms and legs to name a few places) and nowhere else.
