Hello. I have alopecia universalis, and I recently had the most gorgeous Freedom Hair wig made out of donated hair from my cousins and my sister. It is beautiful! Freedom, though, is the only company I know of that can make a wig out of donated hair. Does anyone know of anyone else?
I am asking because my sister-in-law has cancer, and several of her friends donated their hair to her. Normally, I would tell her to purchase a pre-made wig; however, her cancer is untreatable and incurable, so it is highly unlikely her hair will be growing back. That being said, though, she has about three years left to live, and she wants to look better than she looks now.
I would refer her to Freedom, but occasionally she does get spots of regrowth, which I think she would be hesitant to shave (thus eliminating the efficacy of the Freedom wigs). Also, I'm not sure she wants to wait four months or so for a Freedom wig. Anyone know of any other place that could make a wig for her out of her friends' hair?

My daughter has AU and that took me to China to find the best factory for her wigs. I would like to know more about the hair, i.e.: what length is it and are you sure you have enough for a full wig. She need a cap that is soft to her head. The fastest I have seen a factory prepare an all hand tied wig is 2 months. Is that Acceptable? Please read my discussion on my trip to China and you will get a better idea of how I would like to help out. All my best, Lisa You can reach me at Georged5050@gmail.com
I look forward to hearing from you.
