I got alopecia and I'm about to lose my left eyebrow, still got most of my hair, besides being bald, and some patches in beard.  It sucks that my eyebrow is going to be the first to go completely and that really the only place I want some hair, besides inside my nose.

So any males have success with fake eyebrows?  I've seen some pretty good ones offered at aliexpress.com, but I don't know how legit they are, since I've seen no reviews.  I was also thinking that I could wear glasses and have them cover up having no eyebrows and make it less noticeable.  Any guys have success or they just go w/ nothing.

Also I've had contacts now for about 10+ years, and when I started them, I noticed how I kept getting eyelashes in my eyes and it being a real problem with the contacts.  I dont know if I just noticed it more with the contacts in, or of if the contacts where causing me to lose eyelashes.  I hardly take them out like I"m suppose too and I'm wondering if this is causing me to lose my eyebrows and eyelashes.

Anyone else wear contacts mainly, have problem losing their eyebrows or eyelashes??

Thanks for the replies.  I was thinking I could go with glasses and fake eyebrows, maybe that will help it.  Also I need black eyebrows and these websites only have brownish black eyebrows.  I doubt these will be dark enough.....so could I dye them and not mess them up?

I wear contacts and had alopecia before I started wearing contacts.  I had my eyebrows tattooed by a nurse who used cosmetic dyes but of course, that has now faded.  About two weeks ago, I found Beauti-Full-Brows and they also make them for men.  They are temporary tattoos and they work pretty well for three or four days and then you replace them with a new set.  The cost is less that $5 for 10 sets.  The first ones I ordered I didn't like on me but it didn't cost much to replace them so I ordered a second set.  My plastic surgeon has a lady in his office who does the tattoos (which are the best except for having to touch them up every five years or so) and they charge $500.  For the time being, the fake ones are working for me!

Howdy - I don't wear contacts but I do suffer from lack of eyebrows - I tried the spectacles and also drawing eyebrows in - blogged about it here http://myalopeciajourney.wordpress.com/2013/12/11/the-eyes-have-it/

Hi All, I will share my experience... I have AU and my eyebrows were last to go which I really really want them to stay but as rest of the body they too betrayed me by leaving i guess never to return. I took the dreaded painful cortisone injection but they sprout for few days then again I have to take injection which were causing lot of other problems so i decided to let it go.

So then for couple of years I was hiding under different CAPs then started using pencil, I wish I could be an artist to draw a perfect line, I think girls can get by easily with a very light one but totally different for guys.

Then i started looking for fake eyebrows I bought so many off ebay. The problem is they might look perfect and all but how you keep them intact is the biggest challenge it is not wig.

Then I decided to go with permanent marking on eyebrow( tattoo) my goodness though I still have them but let me warn you the pain was so intense and unbearable during the entire process and wonder why people do tattoos paying arm and leg and you have bear the pain. You won’t find many who would be interested in doing it specially on the eyebrow I live in Toronto and I know a place where i have done it after hitting so many tattoo places.

Now I cover mostly with glasses and the permanent marking.
