Moving towards acceptance

Merry Christmas all!

It has been 8 months since I experienced alopecia totalis. It is now progressing towards alopecia universalis and I am still in the process of acceptance.

I have decided to move forward with tattooed eyebrows and ordering a freedom wig (vacuum wig). I am looking at having the tatoos done in January and ordering the wig in January as well.

I am wondering if anyone has any advice for me as I move forward with both of these things. I am hoping to obtain the wig by summertime so I can confidently return to boating/swimming without being self conscious about a wig falling off.

I am also quite excited that my hair might just look better than ever. I never did have great hair and now I just might!

I will be working with Karen Peterik with New Life Hair out of Chicago.

Any advice you have for me is welcomed. Thank you!!!

Good luck with the wig. Lace wigs attached with super tape work for my daughter. She wakeboards and everything. We pay about $400 on a chinese website. This works for her and is a much less expensive solution but they do not last as long.
