My parents,Karl and Francine whom are my adoptive parents since I was 5 years old have been the biggest support in my life. They noticed my hair coming out when I was 10 years old and took me to the doctor right awy. That is when I recieved the bad news and I was told this way: Adrianna, you have alopecia and your hair is not going to grow back.I cried when I was told this.My father gave me a hug told me not to let this hold me back including my mother. My mother did take me to a wig shop to have wig made for me that I liked. They did tell me they still love me.

Hi Adrianna

You know nobody really knows what is going to happen with alopecia. Even with AU there is still hope of regrowth, but it is very small. I understand and am sure that your parents just wanted to tell you the truth as they saw it and trusted you to be able to move past this. I hope that has been the result of their caring.

I'm a mother of a daughter with AU and of course I still love her. Nothing ever changes that for a parent.

Hope you are doing ok.
