I’ll try and make this short and straightforward.
I first noticed my hair growth issues when I was a teen ( 16-18 est). I don’t grow arm or leg hair normally like the other guys. It grew in patches but it was thickish hair so I thought nothing of it. I shaved my arms and legs for many years because it was so noticeable, and if I didn’t shave classmates saw the patches and assumed I did a boshed up job anyways. I had a beard, mustache, full head of long hair, thick eye brows, chest hair. It wasn’t until years later when I found out I was guna have a son pretty soon that everything started to slowly go. Chest hair got patchy, noticed a small patch in my beard, lost one eye brow at a time, mustache went pretty quick, I thought please not my head.... that was the last to go. I strangely enough still have armpit hair to this day but that’s mostly all. Bald everywhere.
my advice: try to own it. This is you now. Like it or not, and a wig will only fool everybody else except yourself.
At the end of the day when the wig is off, or the makeup washed away what your left with is what is the reality.
yes loosing your hair is like loosing a major part of your personality and who you are but you can still be you without it. You can still be funny, sarcastic, life of a party, hard working, coy, an asshole. If people look and stare educate if you can and ignore if you can’t.

No matter how indifferent I get, it still is a tragic and humiliating situation. As soon as I accepted myself as I was, I went through a stressful time in my life and lost all my hair. I think the emotional numbness I have is just a defense mechanism since I experience this in so many parts of my life.
