Nail pitting?

Hello! So I've had alopecia for a year now with two spots. Both are growing in and the original spot I feel like will be filled in soon ( hopefully ). I was curious if most of you have nail pitting?? I see online it says it usually is a sign of more severe alopecia and that kind of freaks me out because I have nail pitting. I don't think my alopecia is really severe though and seems to be getting better. Just curious what everyones nails looks like. I know all cases of alopecia are different but some insight would be great!

Hair and nails are related. In my daughters case ,she did have nail pitting for a while as I recall. She does not have it at present but did develop AU. Glad to hear that your hair is growing in, that is a good sign.

I don't have nail pitting, but I have white spots or what look like little white clouds on my finger nails.   They seem to show up around the same time i get a patch and grow out with my nails.  I assume they are related. I had these white clouds when i was younger too without alopecia. 

I have AA - I usually have one patch that falls out, then fills in, and as soon as it's full, another one or the same one falls out again. I also have overall thinning now too.  I've had this for about 4 years.
