Hi -

I developed alopecia barbae in May 2012, at first there was one circular spot on my chin and within a couple of months the original spot is about the size of a Ritz cracker w/2 othes on my neck about the same and a number of smaller ones that just seem to be getting bigger. I went to the first dermatologist within a couple weeks and she told me not to worry, cut down on carbs, gave me a number of painful injections in my face and said it should grow back. No improvement - Went to a different dermatologist, this time advised against the shots as it may cause long term damage and gave me some cream instead. She believed it is most likely stress related and she's only seen one case in her career where it didn't grow back and not to worry. Easier said than done.

I've been doing a lot of reading of course. I'm now having the Trachonychia or nail issues in both my hands and feet, it started as just one but steadily it has spread to others and the original nail has just gotten worse. I've had almost a life-long issue w/panic attacks, I've also had eczema and small spots of vitiligo as well as joint pain in my fingers and toes and definitely what I thought was IBS. I'm starting to think this could be something more serious. We've recently moved to a new state and are definitely under a lot of stress. What should I do? - Just wait and hope, should I see a regular doctor. Also I have noticed a couple of white spots on 2 of my children which may be vitiligo and my wife thinks she may have some circular spots of hair loss under her arms and one in her eyebrow. Could this be environmental?

Thanks for listening and any advice is greatly appreciated.
