No eyelashes and pink eye

Hi, I'm new here. My 18 year old daughter has alopecia areata. It has been dormant for about six years, but it's back. She is missing all of her eyelashes on her right eye and has been treated for pink eye, but the eye won't seem to clear up. It is smaller than her left eye and still pretty red. We got a second round of drops for the pink eye, but it doesnt seem to be helping. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply! My daughter is currently uninsured and we have recently racked lots of ER and urgent care clinic bills. She will be covered beginning January 1, so I am trying to wait until then to take her to any more doctor appointments. I certainly don't want her to start having issues with her eye on top of everything else. I will look up iritis. Her eye is just still smaller than the other one and looks red and irritated.

I would def take her to an opthamologist - an MD eye doc - it is amazing how diff the eye exams are - they will get to the bottom of it and you dont want it to end up damaging her vision. I needed 3 diff drops several times a day to clear up an issue with pink eye. Also ask when you go for samples because if the drops are not going to work no sense paying for a full RX - my doc gladly gives them to me - once I know they are working I get the Full Rx filled. If they dont work I have not wasted money.
