Our Profiles & Pics on Google Search

Okay, so I thought my pictures, profiles were private on here and just discovered they are not. Apparently, when one does a Google search or image search, our pictures are available for all the world to see and our pages here. Is there a way to block this? I don't mind folks on this website seeing my stuff--but not for the whole world to see.

I had this problem once. Talk to rj and Cheryl about changing your website attached to this, wiping out your old stuff and taking on a new user name. Also, be more discreet, don't give real name/city/e-mail, and private message details of your life to those you trust only. Monitor your blogs, put on the privacy options. If you don't list a city, it will default to your country. You also don't HAVE to show your photo. When you change your profile photo, it will change automatically on all old correspondence.

rj and Cheryl were able to get all my old stuff off the cached thing.

Thank you, Tall Girl! I was actually rather shocked to see my picture come up for all the world to see. Coming out should be at my comfort level when and to whom I choose. This kind of takes the control away. I guess for starters I will change my profile pic first. RJ and Cheryl: any other suggestions?

Message them privately...they may not read all the blogs.

I go under a false name on this site because I want to keep my daughter's privacy. I liked something once on this site and it showed up on my facebook page. If anyone really needs to know who I am they can private message me.

Thanks Karen, I also use a pseudo-name because I did not want it to come up on FB and removed my picture from my profile but it was still coming up. I just don't know how Google takes our picture off of here and puts them on their images. Especially since I was new to the site.

Did it remove your pictures when you did that? I deleted my picture from my profile and it still keeps showing up on Google search. I thought by deleting it, it would go away. Funny thing is that my new pictures do not show up on Google at all. I'm perplexed. One of my blogs that I posted yesterday or day before disappeared from this website--don't know why. It was there for several hours and tonight it is gone.
