Does anyone know if when applying for a passport and taking your picture, do you have to take it without your wig on? If so than i would imagine that you would have to remove your wig while going though.

Thanks,
Maureen

No you don't have to take your wig off. It is you! I've traveled the world and you will never have that problem. Remember your wig is a part of clothing.
Thank you.I have been wondering bout this for a while.
Hi Maureen,

I have my wig on my passport photo and have never had any problems .
Hi Donna,
I was just wondering when you filled out the application did you say you were bald?
Good question! I would wonder bout that too?
Hi Mukti,

I don't beleive I was asked the question, I was asked if I had any distinguished marks to which I answered no but there was no questions relating to whether or not I had hair, I renewed my passport last year and have flown twice since with my wig but no one has ever questioned me. I suppose if they realised they would possibly ask me to remove it to prove I had no illegal substances hiding in there, Now that would be amusing!
LOL....if that happened I think I would request a private screening! I personnal would not be embrassed but I think for my family I would take more precautions! I don't usually think about them but something happened last week in public and has got me thinking to be more aware of my family's presence as well. Thanks!
Hi Mukti,

I totally get what you mean about the family. My son is 14yrs old and he is struggling abit with the whole AU thing at the moment. He never cared at all really until about 1yr ago and now he doesn't bring so many friends home or he leaves them outside where he used to bring them in. I am very aware of how cruel kids can be and I think that possibly he has had some comments made although he would never say. I always cover up with a bandana if he has friends round because i couldn't bare the thought of him being uncomfortable. It's a tough one really!
