Hello - I have Alopecia Universalis and I need to get my eyebrows tattooed soon. I was just wondering if anyone here has even seen a male with tattooed eyebrows that didn't look too feminine?

I have someone that will do some permanent eyebrows for me but I need some pictures because I don't want them to look bad or too perfect. I work in a Prison and I lost my hair a while ago but soon I will need to work with Prisoners and like I have in the past I will get mercilessly mocked for drawing them on with a pencil. As you can imagine people are not kind.

Thank you to anyone that responds to this.

Aaron.

I have seen some microblading, but it is not permanent. Lasts a couple of years.

I had permanent makeup done years ago, and it is not permanent either. Fades over time and must be redone. I've had my brows done 4 times; the last time I had a 20 yr veteran permanent makeup artist do it and she put the pigment so deep my brows now appear blue. Not good.

Permanent makeup also has a metal pigment to it, so caution has to be taken if you have to have an MRI or want to give blood.

Also, look at some of your artists work. You want your brows to look like hairs, not just a solid fill in.

There's lots of info if you google. Best of luck.

I had my eyebrows microbladed. They are beautiful and even look better than my original brows (which were lovely).  Google image it, lots of guys with great microblading!

Hi Aaron, I had my eyebrows microbladed recently and I love them. I had been drawing my eyebrows done on for years, ( I've had AU for the past 50 years )It was a pain but I needed to try and blend in with the rest of the human race with brows.
Drawn on eyebrows don't last all day as sweat, rain etc would often leave me with 1 or half a brow.
I came upon a site on FB that was asking for people who had alopecia to have their eyebrows microbladed for free. I applied to the site and made an appointment. This is where I met a true angel. This beautiful lady treated me like a queen from the first meeting. She explained each step of the way and kept making sure I was comfortable through out the 2 hour microblading. When she showed me myself in a mirror I cried, but it was tears of joy, then more tears of gratitude to this angel.
I love waking up in morning and seeing 2 perfect eyebrows. They don't wash off in the shower or when i sweat or when I rub my forehead. I love them so much, they look so real. My family and friends often comment on how beautiful and natural my eyebrows look.
It's one of the best decisions I have made in a very long time. I highly recommend the procedure.
I live in Australia, but I'm sure there must be other beauty salons around the world that would offer similar services.
Kindest regards, Kaye

Aaron,

I had them done in April, 2016, and the follow up in September.  It's supposed to last a couple years, then I get them redone.  Many people can't believe when I tell them they aren't real.
