I didn't know much about permanent eyeliner before i had it done. It didn't help that the technician, although very experienced, didn't speak English that well. It went OK, a little uncomfortable, and I tensed up waiting for her to tattoo my eyeball.

It was so dark!!! My husband said it was cool, like an egyptian! Not exactly the look I was going for! I know the colour will be more natural when the caked on layer comes off though. This is day 3...how long does it take to look better?

She didn't tell me anything about the puffy eyes and the length of recovery. Maybe if some of you could pass on your experience, we'd all be enlightened.

Make sure you plan well when you do it, I'm glad I had no big social thing planned right after (since I look like a puffy egyptian !)

I would not worry. I had my brows done, and they were almost black...now...they are a very light brown. The skin will peel off, it will lighten up. Then it will lighten more over time. I want to get mine done. Did it hurt like crazy?
It was uncomfortable for sure, I'm glad I didn't think about it too much first. I think the proximity to the eyeball was the biggest fear factor (but it was all good). Get a technician who doesn't drink too much coffee!!Just do it.
haha! Im gonna go to Jeff Seagal....expensive...but looks like the best.
Does anyone know where I can get my eyebrows tattooed in the Stirling, Glasgow or Edinburgh area? I have other tattooes but not sure how I feel about having it done on my face.
hi im a elaine from uk contact Karen betts youll find her details on the internet. She does mine but she has a training school and has other people who she has trained in lots of other areas. She is the one that does 10 years younger and extreme makeover .
hope you get sorted
Ps they are quite expensive to keep up with a touch up of colour needed every 12 18 months depending on your skin. but good tip once youve had them done you can get longer if you use an eyepencil the twist up type one over your tatooed eyeliner and dust your eyebrow tattoos with a bit if brown eyeshadow. the faded tatto tends to grip the make up and it stays on. Getting you longer inbetween touch ups
good luck hope this helps
Usually the swelling after an eyeliner procedure can last for the first 48 hours-ice helps during that time.
The color is typically darker immediately after a procedure as there will be pigment in the top layer of skin that has to exfoliate on its own. The actual color will be one to two shades lighter when it finally heals, also the eyeliner will be finer when it heals, so don't be alarmed now, this is normal for it to look darker and thicker. Let the pigment exfoliate on its own-don't pick at any excess pigment that doesn't come off naturally, don't scrub your eyes, and use the after care products provided for you by your technician.
Hope this helps,
