Hello!

I first got AA when i was 16 and im 26 now. It later on developed into AU. For the first time im experiencing regrowth and im really exited. trying not to get too exited though, cause i do not want to get disapointted if everything doesnt go allright. anyways I took cortisone injections twice between a 5 week period to my eyebrows. it has now been 6 or 7 weeks after the last injection. my left eyebrow has almost completely grown back. My right eybrow about 60%. But to my suprise i started to have regrowth allover. my hands, legs, chest, beard and even on my head i see a little fuzzy hair. i asked my derm if the injections are causing this, but he said that it shouldnt affect anywhere else than the area of the eyebrows. Couple of months before the injections i quit drinking milk (which i was drinking a lot) hoping that would help and i also started to take Biotin. Im hoping the cause for the regrowth are those two, since the injections hurt and my derm doesnt even want to give them constantly. I was wondering if anybody here might know about if quitting milk or Biotin has helped them get regrowth.

I'm a major proponant of milk. I drink close to 2 gallons a week all by myself. I personally wouldn't suggest disincluding it from your diet without a medical reason to do so such as allergy or lactose intolerance...and in the lactose case you can take Lactaid. Without milk I probably would have starved to death (literally) when I could barely eat.

I guess we all have to make the decisions that we can live with. I couldn't live with cutting milk out of my diet, even if it meant regrowing hair. I do take a biotin supplement as well as fish oil and some plain gelatin for hair, skin and nails. I think my nails are stronger but it is pricey. I also take a cheap multi vitamin and glucosamine and chondroitin. I think it will take about 2 months before I notice any difference with the biotin and fish oil. We'll see.
I just found this thread after doing a search on cortisone injections. I had some shots on my scalp 2 months ago. At first, I noticed that there was regrowth in the area with 3 weeks. I also noticed I was getting regrowth in other places other than the area of the injections and asked my derm the same question you asked yours. The next time I visited my derm, I decided not to have the injections again, but now my regrowth has somewhat thinned. So i'm thinking tomorrow that i'm going to ask him for more injections and continue with it and see what happens.
Dairy, Biotin, Protein rich foods are excellent for hair regrowth Iv begun to include more of these in my diet and have had some scalp regrwoth since I started.
Hi Im new here and I was wondering how many of those injections did you receive in each patch??
