Hi-

I was "officially" diagnosed with Alopecia Areata in January 2013.

I was going with my nieces to an amusement park (Kennywood for those of us in the Pittsburgh area) and was a little stressed about how to handle the coasters. I am an avid rider and my wig lady's recommendation of riding and holding onto my wig..not a great option for me...I have to be all hands up high :) :) :)

I went to a sporting store and bought a swim cap that is made out of material..not the rubber kind...and sewed a bandana to it. That thing did not budge on the coasters. I did sew a few wig clips in it, but by the time I went to the park last week...not enough hair left to clip to but the clips may be another option for added security.

This is my first post, but hopefully it may help someone. A way to still ride without too much worry.

PS...another cool thing that happened was the 7 year old niece, with a head full of hair, wore her bandana to be like me. :) :)
