Hello everyone,

I hope I am on the right site. I just got diagnosed with Alopecia in January and not sure what to do now. My barber was cutting my hair and he noticed bald spots and so I went to see the doctor the same day. I was referred to a specialist and I have I have gotten the injections in the scalp twice now. But the bald spots keep spreading all over my scalp and onto my face now.
I have been told to see a natural doctor which I am going to do on Monday.
I have heard that the best solutions are the natural ones. They sound weird but they say that you rub Garlic or Onion Juice on the bald spots and that should work.
Can anyone help me?

Thanks,

Different things work for different people. This condition is unpredictable which makes it so tough. The garlic or onion won't hurt and might help you so give it a try if you want to. Don't spend alot of money on promises outside of what you dr. recommends. There is no real cure at this time. We are here to help answer questions.

Howdy, first off I know how you feel. It's a crazy time and very stressful.
As other poster says, this thing is random and unpredictable.
What worked for one may not work for the next.

I can tell you one thing for certain, you will adjust to whatever may come.
You'll have good days and bad days in the meantime.
Over time there'll be more good ones than bad ones :)

Come on here and vent, it does help.

People no longer remember what I looked like with hair.
I don't even remember what it was like to put my hand on my head and feel hair!

Best advice I got when I was feeling sorry for myself was to just get on with it. Life's going on with things whether I have hair or not. So true.

Best of luck and feel free to contact me online if you need any advice.
Not sure what I could tell you but sometimes it's good to talk.

Hey Greg,
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words.

I went and saw a herbal (natural) doctor that was recommended to me by a friend. He healed her daughter when no regular doctor could. He was amazing, in the complete tests he ran on me and the advice he gave me.
It turns out that one of the side effects of a blood pressure medicine I was taking is Alopecia. I was amazed to find that out. He gave me alot of herbal medicines and a strict routine and diet. I will keep people updated on here in the next month. He told me that "the outside does not matter, it is whats happening inside that causes it that matters."

So, I will keep everyone updated as to what happens,

Thanks,

Was

It would be nice to hear from you if these herbal medicines help you. I'm alittle desperate for help... I've shaved my head in hopes it would all grow back... unlike you my alopecia started a couple years ago and I can only trace it's origin to stress... I'm looking for a cure... so keep us posted! Thanks

Thanks for the reply,

I will keep you posted and I do suggest seeing a natural doctor if you have not already seen one. But I will know in a month if it worked. Will keep you posted.

Hey there one hot mama,

Today is March 26, and I can say that I have managed to stop the spreading of the bald spots. Also the hair on my face is starting to grow back slowly. What I have done is stick to the diet, and exercise the herbal doctor recommended. He also gave me a list of foods to avoid.
But I think I stopped the spread by using garlic. I know it sounds weird, but it has worked. I put the garlic in a blender and placed it in a thin rag and had a buddy rub it into my scalp. I put word out to everyone including aunts, uncles, friends and this is what they all said. This is an old remedy from the old country, and being as desperate as I was, I was willing to try anything. You rub the garlic into the scalp very hard to the point that it hurts a lot. Do this a few times a week, and it should work. Yesterday I had someone look at the bald spots on my head and I have hairs growing back. So I am hopeful now.
I am not sure what your situation is, but if it is like mine, then see a herbal doctor who treats alopecia and rub garlic on the scalp, even though it will stink. My head still stinks of garlic but as long as it works.
