My 13 yr old daughter her has lost almost all her hair in a matter of a month, finally shaved the last bits off a week ago. We used a trimmer, set to a number 1. But now she has developed a ton of little red pimple/bumps (looks like heat rash?) all over her head. Even though she goes bald (no wig) and she has it both in the spots where there is still a little stubble and in the bald patches. What's up? Any ideas what is going on? She doesn't want to go back to the dermatologist who was terrible- totally insensitive. And she is not using any of the treatments. Has any one had this? What to do?

The scalp seems to be sensitive. What is she washing it with? It sounds a little inflammed so you could try something over the counter. You could just call the derm and ask what to use without telling her. Find a new dermatologist, they cannot cure it but you want someone that she does not hate if you need to go.
