Hi Im new to the site but not new to alopecia, Iv had it on numerous occasions from the age of 12 and Im now 26. Iv had AA before and was always able to have a hairstyle to cover it enough but now its back with a vengeance after 4 years and this time my head is covered in patches and there is no hiding so Iv decide to just bite the bullet and shave my head with a razor. My only concern is that if the hair starts to grow back as it has done when Iv had it before starting with the delicate white fuzz, what if I am shaving it? Will it damage these white hairs and prevent it from ever growing back? This is the only thing stopping me from busting out the Mac3 and just doing it, Im tired of hats and tired of hiding. Could anyone help me if you have information on this I would much appreciate it I cant find anything relating to it online anywhere.

Thanks in advance, your fellow Alopecian
Dean

No it wouldn't damage your hair.... It would be just like cutting your hair if you were hairy. As long as you are in AA stage your hair will grow back.
