I just began doing track and field for my school and I love running! But sometimes during practice I feel my wig will fly off what should I do?

I workout with a bandana only. You may not be ready to workout without your wig. But if you are running fast enough for the wig to fly off I suggest you use that fact to you're advantage.
Hi Jennifer. Don't let the wig thing stop you. My daughter has run track for the last 2yrs using double sided tape. She's 16 now.. I do think she doesn't run as fast because she holds her head up extra high in the air . I could b wrong. I don't know why.she never had a problem with taping it other than getting the tape off w/ o getting hair stuck in it.. There's something called "super tape " that can b ordered on line. Someone said they wakeboard with it. Of course there r vacuum wigs and wigs with a grip. You can do it. Hope I helped. Been there. Thinking of u :)
I have been running for a few years, I have ran with a regular wig on, and with a bonded wig, and with a bandana. I find for myself I need to run with as little on as possible, so a bandana or nothing at all. Wigs that are bonded or just on your head get so hot. Do whatever you are comfortable with. I find that the most secure wig that I have is the one with the wide built-in headband.
Good Luck!

Hi...my 10 year old daughter just got diagnosed with AA in December...right now she's wearing a headband/fall piece...it's a plastic headband with a great looking fall velcroed on...the problem is trying to keep the little combs combed into anything! Not a whole lot of hair left and I went to a wig store to ask about getting a wig cap to maybe bond it to, but they said it probably wouldn't work too well...I guess we're to the point of getting a full "hairpiece"...(she HATES the "W" word...) Anyway, anyone with any advice on what works best, I'd love to hear!...
Thanks,
Lisa in Nashville :)
