Hello All!
Hope your all well and good! I've had alopecia for about a year now, lost small patches on my scalp for about 3 months, then gradually they got larger until October when I lost it all, then about December I lost eyebrows, eyelashes and the rest (apart from my leg hair!damn! lol!) Well in January I noticed a patch of regrowth, a few white hairs. I thought it might have been a few greys that hung on in there, but now I've got quite a lot of very long white kinky hairs on the right side, and more sprouting on the left, even a few brown ones :). Has anyone else had/have this type of regrowth? if so, what happened next? should I get excited ? thanks for reading :)

Any growth is good news but try not to get too excited. This is such an unpredictable condition. But here's hoping for a full recovery for you!

Thanks Karen :) x

My aunt had all the hair on her head fall out and later it came back fuzzy and white. Eventually the fuzziness smoothed out, over months, now it's beautifully snowy and white. She's in her sixties. I hope mine does as well as hers. I think the fuzzy white hairs are like baby hair- they may mature into real hair with luck. Good luck!

I'm not sure of anything. I had AA for almost two yrs in Jan. I lose hair I grow hair, but never a full remission yet. What I do think is you should get excited, excitement brings on hope and it's good to have hope. Since everyone is different with this hair lost, you must have hope, don't let people experiences kill your hope. I always have hope than when I see a new spot like I did today, I move on, because it’s not like I didn’t know that it might happen. Hope will not bring on depression when the hair doesn’t grow, because you know that this hair lost is unpredictable.
Good luck and keep us posted
