Things I have learned from alopecia
This is random and just some thoughts about what we have learned from our daughter's alopecia universalis.
1. If you are confident in yourself, people feel comfortable around you.
2. People will stare because you look different but you never know if they are staring because they are admiring how you carry yourself. Or because you inspire them, or it makes them reflect on their own life blessings.
3. People are too busy in their own lives to really care whether or not you have hair or not.
4. A smile and a hello reallye helps break the ice.
5. Most people are kind and good and those who aren't only bring attention to their own lack of manners and lack of character.
6. Different is good. Most people are forgetable. I tell my daughter that she is memorable. And that is fabulous!
7. A young child sees themselves through the loving and accepting eyes of their parents. They need to see us loving their gorgeous little bald heads!

It is definately a learning experience and I believe that as a family you grow together because of it.
