Has anyone tried thymuskin? It sounds very promising but wonder if it is just a scam or money making business. I have a 7 year boy with alopecia and his hair is starting to grow back but he still has about 50% hair missing. So if anyone had any experience with this product whether it be good or bad please let me know.

I've never heard of this, so I looked it up. After seeing the ingredients, I don't see myself trying it.

How long has your son been using it? Is he using any other meds at the same time?
He hasn't been taking it, I am considering using it. We have tried steroid shots and creams which didn't work. We put him on moducare and fish oil and since then he has started to grow his hair back about 50% coverage but it has been very slow growing back.

What is in the ingredients that turns you off about the product.
I didn't care for the thymus gland extract, especially since it's from calves and not people. Just not something I'm willing to try just for my hair. I declined the shots the second the derm suggested.

You must have a strong little guy to withstand those shots. I wish him the best.
Thanks for the input. We only tried one set of shots then stopped because it didn't work.
I tried the shampoo many years ago. Not much luck and I did experience side effects from the shampoo (who knew) so I stopped using it. Don't remember exactly what the side effects were since it has been many years. I would not recommend this for a child since there can be some side effects.
Run, don't walk, I did order this a couple of years ago, it did absolutely nothing for me, I have AA and at different times have lost up to 40 % of my hair, I was quite desperate when I ordered it, I believe it was about 100 dollars, and very small bottle of shampoo, (about a sample size) Honestly I'm sick at all the people out there just taking advantage of us who have heartbreaking conditions. Their sats are the same as anyone with AA, so that's how they get away with it I think, Most who have this may have a few spots, that go away and never return, so they will have some success, if you can call it that. I would not be afraid to try anything within reason, myself, but this one is a total scam.

Thank you for your input. Can I ask how long did you use the product for. I have chatted with other mother's on this product and they tell me it worked but they used for a long period of time. Also did you use only the shampoo or the lotion. I am leaning on not using this product because I am researching some others I prefer better.

Thank You
Al
