I have a request for every Dr.King patient: could you inquire about topical ruxolitinib (so not topical tofacitinib/xeljanz) at your next consult? He had some great success with it (end of 2015) but everybody seems to get the topical xeljanz instead.

Thanks hopeful2015. So this is another pharmacy than the one in Philadelphia: ChemistryRx who seem to compound topical tofacitinib/xeljanz for 300 dollar a tube (30mg)?
I tried to google on CT compounding pharmacy but no hits for me. Do you have more info on this pharmacy? Are you seeing Dr.Brett King by any chance? I would really like to visit him in June but I can't find a way on the internet to book a consult with him :(
Unfortunately this is not true. As any derm will tell you, once the hair follicle goes dormant for 5+ years, it is unlikely to ever produce hair again. It is basically dead. So DO NOT give up the fight, thinking science will deliver something a decade down the road. Your son WILL NOT be able to benefit from it. Fight it now for his future adult hair.
Hi Marisa, I just sent you a friend request. We are getting ready to take our 6 year old to Dr. Craiglow. It is quite a drive and I'm wondering if it's worth it.
I have asked him about it before. He said that he doesn't prescribe topical Ruxolitinib if you're already taking Xeljanz orally.
The girl that had her eyebrows back from Ruxolitinib cream actually spent several thousands of dollars and crushed actual pills into a cream through a compound pharmacy.
I remember on my first consultation with him he talked about both drugs, but the Xeljanz was the one that he prescribes to his patients.
Hi! I had AU when I was 8 and it reappeared as AA now at my 35, due to extreme stress. After trying cortisone for half a year, I decided to try topical Ruxolitinib 0.6% twice per day. It's been already almost a month but no hair has grown yet but I'll make sure I keep you guys posted re the progress. I'm still hesitant getting Ruxolitinib or X orally or even have cortizone simultneously with topical R. A lot to lose in terms of side effects and some of them might not be obvious now but be more like long-term.
Goodm morning! My AA is autoimmune and was definitely trigerred last year due to increased stress. As a child I had AU for 2-3 years and all of hair came back. I had to move out of London because life there is too stressful.
Im sorry, you all probably know this but I'm going to ask it anyway. XeljanzMiracle, you are referring to Topical X and R as if it were able to be purchased. I am aware there are several clinical trials underway but that Tofacitinib and Ruxolitinib have not yet been approved for the treatment of AA. Am I mistaken, or will my doctor prescribe if requested.
my 17 year old daughter has AA and vitiligo, who knows the results for the clinical trails for AA and vitiligo? or who attend it? i am in China, where can i get the topical Ruxo> i know it is availabe in US.
