Sorry for this repeat post - I searched, and there have been a few, but a lot of the discussions had no comments.

I used viviscal (and phyto hair + nail supplements, in a rotation so that their effects wouldn't stop) before my hair loss. I truly believe they helped my hair grow beautifully - thick, shiny, healthy, and fairly quickly (.75 to 1.25 inches a month!). Once my alopecia started Jan 2013, I stayed on it until April, but my trichologist said that I should focus on other vitamins for now (amino acids, biotin, multi vitamins), especially since it seemed like the effect from viviscal and phyto stopped affecting even the hairs that didn't fall out.

Was wondering if anyone uses either of these supplements while with AA, and if they saw any changes. Viviscal and phyto are expensive to just buy to test if they work again or not, even though it obviously depends person to person so your experience might not end up being mine... just wanted to see if a decent amount of people a Alopecia World tried it, and had any info to share.
