Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or knows why, and what it means? I've observed that my scalp in areas that I'm actively losing hair in is a tan peachy color while the rest of my scalp is white. I have a couple of spots that are growing hair in, but I do still see that the color is different. I don't think I've seen anything about it in the past, and I'm really curious about the reason behind it. I've heard of scaring alopecia, do you think that is a possibility? I don't know much about it.

Hi

I'm not really sure what this is either. I think it would be a good idea to go to the doctor to check it out. Could it be vitiligo?

Rosy

I don't think it is vitiligo, because the areas are darker that all the normal hair bearing areas of my scalp. I have a friend with mild vitiligo but the areas have no pigment so are whiter. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? It may be just a normal reaction to inflamation in the scalp area where I'm activly losing. Funny it almost looks like its tan, but it is in hidden areas not hit by sunlight. So weird.
