Hem... my hubby thought we all need some relax and fun, so he booked some days in Paris and in Disneyland Paris. I was thrilled of course, then... what about coping with the rides? I didn't think about it! Has anyone some suggestion, tips, anything? I have still some hair and I can still combing back them to hide my bald spots, but the spots are growing and multiplying... by June who knows what will be the situation... oh, my...

Hi

How wonderful to be going on a break away, especially Paris, Your hair will do what it will and I'm sure you will be able to find alternatives by that time if need be - like the lovely scarf in your profile piccie. Hope you have a great time.

Thank you for the answer. This vacation is much needed, and perhaps I am worrying too much! I have already bought 2 wigs and a set of Turkish oya scarves on ebay (exactly like the one in the avatar), but I don't wear them yet, for I hate stuffs on my head, even simple hats... well, I have to accept this sooner or later, but I hoped to use just the scarves this summer. I am not a fan of very fast rides, such as the roller coaster, anyway I am worried that the scarves may slip and fall. If I'll keep some hair I may fix them with hairpins, I suppose, otherwise... hum, what can I do to secure the scarf?
Maybe a bandana? lots of people wear them and it would keep you covered and it would be allowed on rides. You could make it a family thing so that the kids don't get lost in disneyland. That way you your husband and your kids would be wearing one. A lot of places don't like baseball caps (trust me I know), so I would avoid those. Like Rose said a scarf could also be an option. If your hair completely falls out you could always get a wig and even if it is one that doesn't need glue to stay on you could get some wig tape and put a piece on the front, on both of the sides and the back. I totally get where you are at because a year ago my family went to disney world and at that point I had already been bald for years and I was FREAKING out, but then we bought some of the aforementioned wig tape and taped my wig like I suggested you should if you need to. It held through all of the rides and I stopped freaking out. If it is really humid when you go you may want to bring extra wig tape to the park in case it starts to slip. Good luck!
Thanks, I will look for this tape for the wig, that's a good suggestion also because you tested it in the same conditions! I was thinking anyway to carry another scarf in my bag, just in case...
I would definitely do that because the more prepared you are the less likely it is that you will run out of options. It also lasted at six flags where the rides are really outrageous. You might even want to put one piece of tape on the top of your head or wig. Who knows maybe you will only need the bandana!
