Hi!
I'm considering for the first time to purchase a wig, but I'm not too sure where to start! Naturally, my hair is brown and thin so I would like one that wouldn't look too thick. Is European hair the best way to go? Does anyone know the best online shops to purchase a short hair wig from?

Many thanks :)

I am wondering what you mean by "short Hair". Most people buying EHH aer buying long or Long, long hair.

In EHH, a short wig will not have a lot of pouff or height on top-but if you are okay with that then EHH is really so much more like most women's hair, that it is incredible. I have seen and looked at quite a few of the name brand wigs in human hair-they are not made from EHH- they are dry and not soft, and sort of stiff-if they don't start out that way they get that way fairly soon-some people like that.

There aren't too many ways of shopping online for good quality EHH- you probably need to look at the on line store of Designs by Flora-she has quite a lot of wigs on it that are a good price and short. But I would still talk to her on the phone also.

Yaffa has some shorter EHH styles-you can look at their web site and the one called Yaffaoutlet- again I would also talk on the phone with a representative. I find Yaffa, even in shorter styles, has too much hair on top.

Another brand that has a web site is Milano- they have 2 styles in short hair, EHH, and they are known for not being as heavy and dense on top.

Another Am company called Fortune Wigs has some shorter styles, and I have been told, (not seen myself, that they are less dense around the front hair line. Hope this helps.

Hi Rose,
do you remember the price of the Follea Short wig? did you tried the gripper cap construction? if yes, could you please tell me your opinion on that? I have AU and I need something that will stay on no matter what (without using a glue or adhesive tapes).

Thank you in advance!

Hi

I believe European hair is something that wig companies tout as being of very good quality with inherent qualities that go with the hair type of those who live in Europe(Caucasians). I actually don't feel comfortable with the term as it is often misued and abused by companies.

I feel for those looking for hair that suits their ethniticity they should be looking for 100% unprocessed virgin human hair. As this description says it is totally unprocessed and therefore virgin.

Anything that is processed in any way what so ever is of lesser quality - no matter what is being said. It will not be as strong or durable, it will not be able to be coloured or styled easily by the end user. It has many issues with breakage etc. (for short term use it is acceptable and of course should be reasonably priced).

In some instances processed hair is absolutely appropriate for people's needs but if it is being sold expensively I would suggest someone is making an incredible profit from your needs.

There are very few companies that work with 100% unprocessed virgin human hair. For me this is the only hair that should be used for those with long term extensive hairloss. It is the best quality available and has a durability and look that can not be repeated with other hair choices.

Good luck with your investigations.

Hi ladies,
Thank you all for your time and help. I've looked at all the suggested sites, I think i'll buy a virgin European design by Flora, there are some nice short, modern styles that should suit me (fingers crossed!) and the prices are more rather feasible on my student budget. Thank you all once again, all the best,

Jess :)

are you able to give any suggestions for companies?
