I just got what I think is a thin skin wig, that is supposed to adhere to my head so I don't have to use tape..  What I am finding is that it's still not secure.  I got it from Peggy Knight...What kind of tape do you  use?  My blue lace tape does not stick at all to my wig...

Thanks

HI, You will need to use a red double sided tape. I will try to find the website I buy my tape from and email it to you.
Dee,

Thank you. Do you have one of these units? Mine does not seam to stay on good.

Thanks for your help.
HI, My unit has to have tape in order to stay on, it has a thin skin base. The tape will help secure it.
HI Becca, Go to the web page Discount Hair Replacement systems. Look for red liner super strong tape. You can buy it by the roll or 36 strip package. This is the best tape I have ever used. Dee I hope this helps.
I buy the red double stick tape from Wilshirewigs.com Look in the accessories section. Get on their newsletter list because they have frequent and valuable sales.

buy extra....it's an excellent tape for keeping body parts, straps and lingerie where you want them to stay. Holds on all kinds of fabrics. Tuck a few in your wallet. Good for a hem emergency as well.

Thanks again, Right now the wig I got from Peggy Knight is really uncomfortable. At first when I tried it on it was great, but after wearing it for 10 hours I want to pull the thing off my head.. Maybe the tape will help.

Red Liner tape is a standard product, so it doesn't matter where you buy it. One thing to keep in mind is that it is NOT a medical-grade tape (almost all other wig tapes are), so some people have an allergic reaction to it..

Another option is Duo-Tac tape, which is sort of a sandwich. It has the Red Liner adhesive on the side that attaches to the base and Blue Lace tape adhesive (very strong & medical grade) on the side you attach to your scalp. This tape will give you a very strong attachment.

One other option is Transpore tape. This is a one-sided tape that you attach to the base. It peels easily off ThinSkin. You can apply any other type of tape on top of it - or even use liquid adhesive if you want.

They are all available from hatsoffhair.com.
Thanks for the info... Do you know why the blue lace tape does not stick?
