Hi, thank you for the friend request. I have never done oral prednisone for my hair loss, and knowing the side effects of it, I would not in the future, I have used topical steroids, which didn't seem to help me very much if at all, I had some side effects from them which were pimple like eruptions on my scalp, so I stopped, I used Minoxidil for a few years, with great results, my hair would still fall out from time to time, but it would grow back quickly in those areas, I developed a sensitivity to it, and my scalp began burning itching and got really flaky, so much so that it was embarrassing, like the worse dandruff in the world. Because of the pattern of my hair loss injections have little to no effect, and with the very low chance that it would do anything for me, I decided to not even go there. That being said, when there were no more options really for me, I just let it go, my hair loss became so bad this last year that I finially buzzed off the little bit of hair I had left and bought a really good wig, I wear it everyday, except on those odd days I'm off work and just working around the house, you kind of get to the point where you just say enough is enough. I don't think my hair will ever totally grow back, mainly because in some areas I only have those white hairs growing, and it's been some time since I've had regular hair in those areas, I just don't think its a likely thing for suddenly normal hair to grow there anymore. Alopecia is going to do what it's going to do, so you have to decide what you are going to do with it. I miss my hair every day, but I feel so much happier now that I'm not always worried about what's going to happen next, I can get on with my life now.

Gave in and spent the money on nice wigs.
