I currently do not have health insurance but am looking into it. Can anyone tell me which company/plan has helped them out. I know some will pay 50%, and some may give 10% or less. Any other helpful hints about getting this process started will be appreciated! I live in North Carolina and my employer does not provide insurance so I will be purchasing this on my own. Thanks!!

I used to live in North Carolina and Blue Cross Blue Shield did NOT cover anything :(
EVERY plan I've worked with has some kind of coverage. It really depends on what plan you choose. Right now, my current plan with Preferred One will reimburse me 80% up to $350.00 per year. All I do is fax my adjuster my receipt. I ask the vendor to include a diagnosis code and procedure code on my invoice, and within 3 to 4 weeks, I get a check from them. The cheapest place, and most fantastic place I've found to order wigs (make sure your insurance company will reimburse you for websites though) is www.namebrandwigs.com. I haven't found ONE vendor with lower prices.

Most insurance companies will say you can go to certain vendors in your area. Stick with those vendors until your benefits are used up, then move on to the websites- you get a lot more for your money!
