Hi everybody. I have alopecia universalis and I would say my scalp is pretty sensitive. I currently wear an Estetica human hair wig called Angelina which I really do absolutely love. Nobody can tell it's a wig and it's very very comfortable. However, it's getting to be a few years old now and I'm debating whether to order another one or try something new. The other wig I'm considering in Jon Renau's Darla. It's very similar in style but I can get it for a little less money. If anybody else out there wears one of these two wigs, can I please get your input as to (1) comfort and (2) quality???? Thanks so much!!!!!!!!

Halina, Try Wigsupport.com.   The women on that site surely have information on this wig, as well as countless others and usually with pictures if they have purchased it.

I have started wearing Jon Renau human hair.  It lasts way way longer than synthetic.  However the one thing I noticed is that in the sun the colour starts to lighten a lot.  I had dark dark brown (almost black) had to have it recoloured twice in 2 years.  The colouring apparently can only be done by a wig maker but I haven't researched that more :(  Would also love to hear if anyone has coloured it themselves.

My Jon Renau wig has so far lasted 2 years and definitely can go more.  But I am now getting a longer one.

As for comfort is is very comfortable and I have not had to use wig tape at all!  It seems to naturally stick to the head.  It's pretty awesome knowing it won't "fly" off.

Also if you do choose Jon Renau, get argan oil from a regular store and apply after washing.  But don't wash off.  It adds smoothness and softness to the hair.

Goodluck!

Hi!

I just ordered a new one today! "Nicole" my Jon Renau. I'm so new to this. It makes me so nervous not being able to go to a wig store and try styles on. But I live in the middle of the woods basically, so my options are limited. Praying it will look nice!

Is it super hot to wear???

and just how hot is it to wear in summer?

I recommend "whisperlite" fiber synthetic wigs for those who wear synthetic.  They don't look wiggy, and they are not unbearable in the heat.
