I started with alopecia areata. Now I'm heading too soon to totalis.  But thankfully I've been told it's non-scarring.  Does wearing a wig hinder new growth?

I am not a doctor nor a scientist, but I truly believe that wearing a wig will not effect the outcome. This condition is within the body and what you place on your head will not. Most Alopecia is non scarring which allows for hope because if there is remission hairs are happy to grow.  Please read my discussion regarding my trip to Qingdao China to find the best and most natural looking wigs for my daughter who lost all her hair in 4 months and now has AU.  I wish you all the best and am here if you want to learn more about human hair wigs that a constructed for those with medical hair loss for daily use. All my best Lisa

Thanks, Lisa.  I'll take a look at your discussion.
