Has anyone tried or gotten a wig from Wigs4Life on Etsy? She had medical hair loss in her past but all of her wigs are full lace. She is great with answering questions and has many positive reviews but I don't know if they stand the test of time.

Thanks!

I have commented on all lace wigs before. They do not stand the test of time and they can stretch. To me lace wigs are for every so often use. They are also used for theater type use in movies and plays. People with alopecia need a wig that will stand the test of time. I am going to look at WIgs4life as soon as I finish this reply. People with medical hair loss need a cap that is comfortable, breaths and can be used daily. They need to be fitted properly or they will look like a wig. There are so many things a good wig needs to be and I am glad to answer questions and give guidance for as long as you like. My daughter has AU and the wigs I have designed for her and had made custom brings her great joy and she lives her life to the fullest. She is my hero and if I can give back to others I will do so. She lives her life everyday with so much passion and Alopecia has not stopped her in any way shape or form. My email address is georged5050@gmail.com. If you want to talk further or ask questions about wig design, costs or maintenance of them I am here for you. Lisa

This is exceedingly important and relevant information regarding Etsy seller WIGS4LIFE LINDSEY JORGENSEN. WIGS4LIFE is a complete FRAUD, and SCAM. Myself and at least 10 other victims have recently been Ripped off by WIGS4LIFE LINDSEY JORGENSON to the tune of thousands anc thousands of dollars. Her Etsy shop has since been either deleted by her or Etsy took her down. If you are a victim of WIGS4LIFE LINDSEY JORGENSON plesss contact the authorities. Updated information as it becomes available.
Thank you for sharing. Nothing is worse than being ripped off when you are in a vulnerable position.

I got scammed too. :(  Luckily I paid with American Express so they are handling the dispute with Etsy but I 100% agree with you...DO NOT BUY from Lindsey Jorgensen/Wigs4Life if she resurfaces.

I got scammed also! "Lindsey" was very responsive until I placed the order. I explained to her that my friends and I were chipping in to buy our friend a wig. because she was recently diagnosed with cancer. She said to send over size and measurements and she answered all questions within minutes. We did a rush delivery, rush order, and custom fit wig that totaled to $780. She told me she understood how important hair was to a persons confidence and told me she started the business because she's a cancer survivor herself and it really hits home for her. I told her my friend was so excited about having the wig for the holidays. I contacted Lindsey a few days ago and didn't hear back so my friend checked her page and it disappeared. We didn't know for sure if it was a scam until I found this. Thank you for posting this. We need to somehow find this heartless person. How could someone steal from someone e that's suffering from cancer? It breaks my heart to know that there are people like this. Karma will get her one day. DO NOT ORDER FROM WIGS4LIFE ITS A SCAM!!!
Your friend is very lucky to have you. What an awesomely kind and considerate thing to do. :)
So, I also didn't know it was a scam until I saw the post from Justice. Similar to your story, Lindsey was unbelievably responsive during the sales process then radio silence. The week I was supposed to receive the wig, I messaged her several times with no response. Since this was so opposite to our initial conversations, I actually considered that maybe something bad happened to her or her family. Man, was I wrong (and naive.) She didn't tell me the horrible lies she told you but she did know that I'm 99% bald, 99% of the time (I have Alopecia universal but get a random hair on my big toe every once in a while. LOL! True story.)
I really hope you guys get your money back. I personally believe justice is always served one way or another. She'll get hers.
Please send your friend my best. I couldn't imagine what she's going through but it sound like she's surrounded by love.
I'm sorry you're going through this and what a horrible person to take advantage of your situation!!! Were you able to get your money refunded to buy a new wig?

Awe, thanks so much but people lose hair for much worse reasons (like your friend) so I actually consider myself one of the lucky ones. :)

Anyway, American Express is handling everything (its part of their buyer protection perk) and have refunded my card 100% of the cost (approx $600). They just asked for a detailed letter and back-up of my communications with "Lindsey".  Luckily I still had all of our Etsy conversations so I was easily able to pull everything together.  Not sure how things will turn out but I can tell you that AMEX has an amazingly powerful fraud department so I'm sure they'll find her. I'll keep you posted with any info they give me about her so maybe it can help you.

P.S. How did you pay?  Did you dispute the purchase with Etsy?

I paid through Bank of America credit card and they have a good protection plan too. Hopefully it all turns out good too!

Thanks everyone! Good thing I didnt buy from her! Wow!

Hi All! I just came across this thread and wanted to add that I am also a victim of the Wigs4Life scam! My story is the same as everyone else's... "Lindsey" was very communicative and responded within minutes of me sending messages. I was not the least bit worried because of all her positive reviews. I placed my order on October 23 and checked back the day before Thanksgiving and discovered her shop was closed. In the email thread between us, she had included a personal email and also a phone number. She has not responded to any of my communication. She is gone. Its really disheartening to think that someone would scam people, mainly women, who have no control over their thinning/lost hair. I saw someone below wrote that they paid with AMEX and their fraud department is going to find her.. I hope they do! People that do this do not deserve a place in our society. I paid through PayPal, and filed my claim with them today. I am sure I will get my money back, I am not worried about that. I just hope that this person doesn't open another shop and do it again to more people.

On a side note, I found Gardeaux wigs, Rachel, she is wonderful! I have ordered a new wig from her and am expecting it soon! She is a real person, LOL! And has been a dream to work with! She currently is not making custom wigs, but has a full stock of all colors and sizes, and gets new wigs daily! I am a true large size, and when I contacted her a couple weeks ago, she did not have a blond Large, but told me she would keep me in mind. Then she received one this week, contacted me right away before even listing it on her website in case I wanted it! Which I did! She is so great! She also posts videos on her Instagram page with the wigs, so if you are on instagram, check her out! Hopefully this helps some of you on your quest to find a wig!
