I got a job working in a nursery before my alopecia, it was hard to start with because when I had patches on the top of,my head my manager refused when I asked to wear a scarf or hat to cover it telling me tht it would get me more attention then if I just covered them with my hair, which meant I was constantly checking to see if my patches were covered. I was able to get a hold of some wigs before it got really bad. Now my hair has completely gone I'm wondering if I could just go to work without a wig, but I have no idea how people would react, my colleagues kno but I'm more worried about the children and their parents. Does anyone work with children? What have you done? xx
