Many are getting Xeljanz free now and getting great results. I can't see Pfizer giving someone a lifetime use of the drug for free. It wouldn't be feasible for most to pay full cost and no one knows if the drug is discontinued if all hair will fall out again. I am guessing it would.
Have people considered long term use and costs?

I think most people are hoping that once the trials are finished and the drug is approved for treating alopecia they will be able to get their insurance companies to pay for it. Or the cost of the drug will go down with time.
I do agree that the estimated $3000+/month is a steep price to pay long term. $36000/year! that's more than a lot of people's income
yeah that's certifiably insane! I wonder how the price got so steep.
xeljanz is a relatively new drug, the manufacturer is probably still trying to recoup development costs and because it is not selling huge volumes they need to charge a lot per unit.
It's hard to swallow but these companies ARE in the business of making money, and drug development/testing/trials cost a lot
Does anybody have experience getting it from a Canadian online pharmacy? There are some that are CIPA certified (qualityprescriptiondrugs.com for example) that offer Xeljanz for substantially less than US pharmacies (~$2,100). I spoke to Xelsource yesterday and the rep had told me this won't be eligible for reimbursement, but I thought it may be a decent option for when the co-pay card runs out, provided its safe.
