I hope the Steelers don't try and correct the kick-off coverage sunday
by putting James Harrison on the Special Teams. Everyone is mad at
him for the stupid penality late in the Bengals game.

I was surprised the Steelers beat Denver, I thought Mondy Night and
High Altitude would guarntee a loss. Then to get beat by Cincinnati
at home on a sunday afternoon...I don't know what to expect anymore.

Hey Lee hope you and your boyfriend survived the Denver game!

The Steelers did great against Minnesota last sunday! This week they
will be off. I plan on watching Green Bay vs Minnesota this sunday, I hope the
Packers beat them also.

There was an article in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette yesterday and Hines Ward
revealed he takes naps in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. Ward is 33 years old
and a league leader in receiving. He called it his fountain of youth. Last year the Steeler players were given fish oil supplements. Personally I think it can
be more important what a person is NOT eating, drinking or smoking than
what he/she are consuming.
HEY.....like Chuck Noll says ...whatever it takes.

Tough game this week against the Vikings who have not lost yet this year.
6 and 0 !!

Pittsburgh wins top ranking for best sports city
Wednesday, October 7, 2009
Pittsburgh, with the Super Bowl-winning Steelers and Stanley Cup-winning Penguins leading the way in 2009, is No. 1 in Sporting News’ 16th annual Best Sports Cities rankings.

The Steel City dethroned 2008’s No. 1 Boston, which had finished atop the list three of the past five years but dropped to third, behind No. 2 Philadelphia, on the 2009 list. Rounding out the top 10 are No. 4 Chicago and No. 5 Los Angeles, No. 6 New York, No. 7 Phoenix, No. 8 Miami, No. 9 Dallas-Fort Worth and No. 10 Detroit.

“It’s been quite a year in Pittsburgh. Sports fans in Western Pennsylvania have had a lot to be proud of these last 12 months,” Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl said, acknowledging the honor. “Pittsburgh truly is the City of Champions once again.”

This year’s list features 399 cities and towns in the United States and Canada, ranked based on a variety of factors, including each city’s number of teams and their regular-season won-lost records, playoff berths, bowl appearances and tournament bids, championships, applicable power ratings, attendance, fan fervor and more.

“Whether it’s the CEO of U.S. Steel or the guy running the body shop on he other side of the street, Pittsburgh’s people share a common bond with their sports teams,” Pitt football coach and Pittsburgh native Dave Wannstedt says.

Sporting News began its Best Sports City rankings in 1993. Past winners:

2008—Boston
2007—Detroit
2006—Chicago
2005—Boston
2004—Boston
2003—Anaheim/Los Angeles
2002—Boston
2001—New York
2000—St. Louis
1999—New York
1998—Detroit
1997—Denver
1995—Denver
1994—Cleveland
1993—Chicago

Note: There was no Best Sports City in 1996 as the ratings were expanded and refined.

I appreciate it very much! It was a good game. We might be back on track...couple easy games...then Polamalu comes back just in time!

Nice victory last night for the Steelers! But they always have to make
it exciting and San Diego got lucky with the onside kick and stealing
the ball off Logan on the punt return both resulting in TD's.

Do you Ladies appreciate the PINK displayed by the NFL?

I agree 100%...oh well...cant go to the super bowl every yr. Hate to say it, but I think a lot of this lies on Reed. If he didnt miss the feild goal yesterday, we eould have had a shot. If he didnt miss TWO of them last wk, we would have won. Not sure whats going on with him, but they should think about replacing him.

It got sadder yesterday. Without Troy Palumalu(43)...the future
does not look bright.
