I'm glad I was wrong about Leftwich starting in Tampa. Charlie Batch looked like a polished professional quarterback on sunday. Yea, a couple interceptions, but no harm done. Mendenhall broke loose on the play called "22 Double" .. again.
He ran for 50 yards to beat the Falcons and yesterday got 34 yards on the play 22 Double. It was great watching a Steeler game without being worried about a pending disaster in the final minutes.

Great time of year, no doubt about it! I hope the Steeler game will be broadcast by CBS. Trying to watch a football game on FOX is like trying to watch a movie on Lifetime.....there are so many commercials you can do laundry, wash your car, mow the lawn and run to the supermarket and never miss anything if you do it during commercial breaks.
NBC has a good broadcast, but FOX...oh God.

I remember Vince Lombardi use to take quarterbacks and make them get on their knees and throw for about an hour to help build up arm strength. I think the Steeler quarterbacks could benefit from that. Leftwich throws like he is pitching a baseball ...his legs are so spread apart. So of course after the throw his leg is just dangly there waiting for some 300lb lineman to fall on it. He may start sunday in Tampa, we will know Wednesday.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette- Ron Cook. "Mr. Ward , this is the White House calling. I just want you to know that you're President Obama's guy...."
Hines Ward will be sworn in tonight at the U.S. Capitol along with 15 other people appointed to President Barack Obama's Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Hooray for Hines Ward! Maybe in 50 years there will be an Presidential Advisory Commission on Alopecia and other rare disorders.

Troy Palamalu was all over the field! He and the defense played a great game! Too bad the offense did not score a touchdown. What a kick-off return to open the game, Antonio Brown going 89 yards with a double team block by rookie Sylvester and safety Mundy on Michael Griffin. :)
