I was glad to read Dixon was starting also Lee. And it makes sense because Batch is so injury prone he can't take this team very far...I doubt he could play a full four quarters.

I like the Vikings too! BTW...Old Navy has football shirts for pretty cheap, got a Steelers hoodie for 30 bucks! Glad Dixon is starting, I was hoping for that!

Welcome to the group KastaBaby. I remember when they use to call the Viking defense the Purple People Eaters. :)

I can't believe you added a Vikings fan to your group!!! You know, you should be thanking us every day for giving you Mike Tomlin; our defense misses him BADLY!!!!

Hi Lee, right now your bet looks pretty good. :) The thing about the Steelers that I have noticed is sometimes when there is a lot of competition in training camp after the playes make the final cut they seem have a let down and lose the first couple regular games. They looked good beating the Giants 24-17.

i have a $50 bet that the Steelers will win more games than the Giants this season ( not counting pre season)

Steelers beat the Detroit Lions saturday night 23-7. Dennis Dixon played great and has a good shot at the starting QB position. Mendenhall and Moore both fumbled in the first half. Isaac Redman was the best running back during the game. The game was delayed 1 hour 13 min with less than 2min left in the first half.....thunder and lightening. Next game against the Giants.
