Hey all! I have had AA since I was 7 I am 30 now. I have a two year old and after I had her I stopped responding to cortisone. I am quickly moving to totalis. I was wondering how many of you with AA found yourself losing drastically after the hormone change from having children. Or if you moved into totalis of universal stage?

Wissam, I had my eyebrows done several years ago by a great artist. Choose carefully and you will be so surprised how natural it looks. Also, I found this last month on what some guys are doing on their heads. I'm thinking it might be fun for beaching it myself. Don't know where to have it done yet in the US. http://www.artistryconceptshairreplication.com/gallery.htm

Hi all I started with AA since the age of 12 yrs and now am 35yrs old and it has grown into ATT. It has been a long and winding road and there are so many inconsiderate people out there, But I have learned to "weather any storm" It is not easy but life has to move on. To Monica I also suffer with a Under Active Thyroid.

Hi all. I've had alopecia areata, with the quarter spots and then it moved on to big spaces in my head around my ears and in back and then to all bald, totalis. Had alopecia for about 30 yrs. Wore hats, then scarf/bandanna. Went to many doctors and all but no treatment lasted and made the hair come in and stay, so I wear my scarf/bandanna and be done with it.

Have had AU since age 10. Am now in my early 50s. Also developed hashimoto's several years ago. Curious to know if others have thyroid problems.

I have had alopecia since I was 18 months old and I am 23 years old now. Started out as AA and now is universalis, although my eyelashes are growing back with the help of Latise.
