Is it just me?

I have shaved my hair and wear a wig. However my hair grows in 3 days. I find myself shaving my head at least twice a week. Because I wear a wig and i want it to look as natural as possible, so I really dont want any hair on my head. Yet now it is growing back so fast.

Worse is the fact that its still NOT growing in all the patchy areas. So its like a lose lose situation. Before I shaved my head, I thought that my hair growth was stunted because it never looked like it was growing. NEVER! It just stayed one length-dull, dry, brittle, course, and almost grey-looking. It never got longer, just more patchier and shorter. Now when I dont want the hair to grow, its growing like its in a competition. What the hell?

And giving me the false hope that maybe this time it will grow back fully without patches.

Why???????

I wish there was an answer for this one....you grow hair where you dont want to and you loose hair where you want it the most....If I could control my Alopecia I would say it would target my legs and underarms..... makes you wanna scream

It is sooo frustrating aye!! I can deal with shaving my head every day what really annoys me is when my eyelashes and eyebrows fall out, that really sucks haha. Silly Alopecia.

Janine,

I can relate. I have AA and just recently shaved my head and it is already growing back, except it is not growing the same where I lost the hair.
